Goodgig.

First time I'd ever been to The Pint, but I was pleasantly surprised. Despite it's 'location' across the Liffey, ....not that that was a problem in the least.

Went on first which is sort of a bad thing and sort of a good thing, someone said people remember the first and last of things.. but that's when there are people there to be remembering. No, the numbers were slightly down but I was kind of glad as it was my first gig as Alex Andrew, and I felt we played well. Although we don't recommend the sound guy in The Pint, over an hour late arriving and then to repeatedly ask..''so, where's you bassist ..no seriously where is your bassist, but you must have a guitarist...'' No, no, shaved head sound guy, it's just vocals, keys and a drum kit.. get over it.
I think the A Team was best received though, and not many people knew it which was odd, I thought Ed was getting big? At the sound check I was asked after playing Eric Hutchinson's Ok it's alright with me, was it an original..

Anyway, walking around afterwards through town and hearing a couple saying as they pushed a buggie ''well maybe Focus Ireland will help us'' really made me think more songs should be written to make people aware of the lives people live on the streets.. how they attempt to bring up children into a drug ridden lifestyle, where alcohol is their closest neighbour, a neighbour who doesn't bring around a pot of welcoming jam.
